Winter wonderland

What a pretty morning, the sun came out after the photos were taken, and I was on my way to work.

Bright spot in a dreary day

Here's another one, both from Walmart and the same thing happened. That is the fun thing about raising plants, surprises. They were in bloom when I bought them, and only had color around the edges.

Color in the middle of winter

This is the second blooming, and it doesn't look anything like the first! What's up with that? Can't wait to see what the offspring ( from a leaf) look like.

Handspun yarn

This handspun is corriedale, combed top, purchased from Fiber Whims, a local fiber supplies shop. It spun up soft, and very luxurious, with a slight sheen. I had bought a pound and ended up with six skeins, ranging in weight from 2-4 ounces.

Felted mittens revised

These are the same mittens, after adding the knitted cuffs. Recipient changed her mind after not liking the elastic option.

Ski and snowshoe trail entrance

The gap in the trees in the center is where the trail starts from our backyard. There are lots of trails in the woods behind our house and we ski, snowshoe and snowmobile back there. As you can see,Lona, I haven't broke the trail in awhile! Am spoiled by the Swedetown trails.
