Close up of sewn header
The white weft of the header ( doubled poly/cotton) with the multi colored warp really stands out on the dark rug. Had considered using navy, but now am glad I didn't. We are definitely keeping it, not putting it out for sale. Should be nice by the back door, with all the snow that gets tracked in, you won't see this one bunching up and getting stuck under the door.
Yooper Rug
This rug was finished on Dec. 28, 2007 and my first with a sewn header. It was made from denim and a heavy camouflage canvas material, hence the name Yooper Rug. Taken outside on the snow, there are no wavy white lines like in previous rugs, although the warp is a different color, also. Will have to rewarp with white as soon as the multi is used up,to test all the theories.
